While all eyes are on Ferguson (deservedly so), here comes an exciting request on Kickstarter to complete a documentary about the Wounded Knee stand-off in 1973. Like Ferguson, it is another story from America’s underclass of a racial struggle to be heard. This film is produced by a man who was a 20-year old Humboldt State student at the time, who snuck past the FBI and embedded himself in the Lakota compound. The film includes footage never before released.
Right, a child digs a foxhole during the stand-off.
UPDATE: Their Kickstarter campaign has met it’s goal. Thank you to all! I can’t wait for the film.
